Please Note: This is a position for a food growing greenhouse operation! You must have job experience that reflects your ability to grow plants and vegetables. Additionally, you must be residing with in the United States at the time of application, as we need someone who can start immediately.

We are excited to add a HEAD GROWER and ASSISTANT GROWERS to our dedicated, family owned farm operations to assist us with our rapidly growing greenhouse operations! Our Growers are generally responsible for multiple greenhouses and outdoor areas. Performance success is measured through continued development of best growing practices in systems, knowledge, and expertise. As well as, specific objectives regarding quality, ready dates, and sell through.

Hours: 6AM - 3PM Monday through Friday.

Salary commensurate with experience, will most likely start at 40k a year with a production bonus. Room for advancement. Paid vacation, holidays, and sick-leave available after probationary period. Insurance. Assistant Growers may start at a slightly lower pay.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Finish crops by forecasted ready dates and ensure accurate ready dates
• Grow plants according to recipe and quality standards while reducing production waste
• Use crop science to identify problems, find solutions, and document best practices
• Create and follow grow plans for all plants
• Manage, hire, and develop; growers, assistant growers, and irrigators
• Increase young plants propagation to drive down young plant costs
• Manage environmental control systems, maintenance, and ensuring timely repair of facilities

Job Specifications:

• 5 years minimum experience as a grower in a commercial, wholesale, or retail produce growing environment
• Degree in Horticulture, another applicable field, or experience in a vegetable grow operation.
• Experience managing assistant growers
• Experience handling chemicals, spraying, and identifying common problems with plans
• Fluency in Spanish a plus

• Experience with botany and plant biology a plus
