Job Description

St. Barnabas is hiring a part-time Certified Medical Assistant at our Medical Center!

Essential Duties as Certified Medical Assistant:

  • Collect vital signs and patient history
  • Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, administer injections and vaccinations as directed
  • Collect urine drug screen collection (non DOT) and EKGs
  • Assist medical providers with procedures and routine wound care
  • Administrative duties include front desk support, answering phones, scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals and prior authorizations

Qualifications as Certified Medical Assistant:

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program
  • High school diploma of GED required
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
  • Maintained CPR certification per policy
