Job Description


  • Coordinate with Customer Service to evaluate incoming shop drawing requests
  • Coordinate with CS/Marketing to supervise standard detail creation for use in the company’s ordering system
    and marketing materials
  • Read, understand and interpret design drawings and standard details
  • Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems
  • Perform drawing checks and process change orders (ECO/CO)
  • Manage file organization, references and metadata.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining detail library organization
  • Assist with maintaining Standard Engineering Assemblies and create new Standard Engineering Assemblies
  • Assemble documentation and build BOM structures for ordered products
  • Provide support for the Manufacturing and Customer Service departments
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management including, but not limited to safety, quality, and
    lean manufacturing
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans,
    blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Knowledge of construction and/or architecture industry practices is a plus
  • Ability to edit PDFs using software (Blue Beam or similar)
  • Ability to coordinate the collection of data and incorporate information into drawings, plans, and maps
    while preparing and potentially presenting their drawings to clients
  • Ability to identify complex problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a changing environment
  • Ability to leverage resources and/or engage others to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external customers verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in Solidworks and MS Office


  • 2+ years of experience utilizing CAD programs in a 3D environment (AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks)
  • Experience with drawing details required
  • Experience in the areas of product development, design and manufacturing processes a plus
  • Experience with fabrication techniques a plus


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates degree or certification from a technical or trades program preferred

  • Physical- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard
    office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
