Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides clinical support, such as training, to assist with standardization of procedures and support of day-to-day staff coverage. Acts as a resource for other members of the clinical team. Provides cost-effective patient care under the directions of a LPN, RN, or provider and creates a safe work environment. Performs clerical/administrative duties associated with medical practice front desk operations under the direction of the Practice Leadership. Assists in the development, implementation, evaluation, and enforcement of clinic policies and objectives. Assists management in the investigation and resolution of complaints and problems.

Education - Required:
  • Specialized Diploma Medical Assistant



Education - Preferred:
  • Associate's Degree Medical Assistant



Experience - Required:
  • 2 years Recent experience within an LVHN physician practice.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
  • Able to manage and organize medical records.
  • Ability to build comprehensive reports and effectively convey information to others.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, and decision-making.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system and programs including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Preferred:
  • Bilingual



Certifications - Required:
  • CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - NHA Upon Hire or
  • CMA - Certified Medical Assistant - AAMA Upon Hire or
  • CMAC - Clinical Medical Assistant Certification - AMCA Upon Hire or
  • MAC - Medical Assistant Certified - AMCA Upon Hire or
  • NCMA - National Certified Medical Assistant - NCTT Upon Hire or
  • NRCMA - National Registered Certified Medical Assistant - NAHP Upon Hire or
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)-American Medical Technologists Upon Hire



Additional Qualifications:
  • Annually completes a minimum of 10 continuing education classes including customer service education.

Location: Lehigh Valley Health Network · LVPG-L ExpressCare Palmerton
Schedule: Full Time 40 hours, Multiple Shifts, 8am-8pm
