$111,876 - $140,040 annual salary

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with advanced knowledge of infection control and communicable disease prevention to provide consultation, training, and coordination within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s (CDCR) SATF facility, located in Corcoran.

In this vital position, you will:

• Continually coordinate, implement, assess, and review the CDCR policies and procedures
• Provide technical assistance to institutional staff as it relates to the implementation of infectious disease control policies and procedures; and assist with public health education and training at the institution
• Serve as a liaison to the Department of Health Services, Local County Health Officers, and other community health agencies to manage communicable disease control that may impact the community
• Assess the standards of the institution for quality assurance and surveillance of communicable diseases; and participate in epidemiological studies and analyses to maintain a proactive defense against disease outbreak

To qualify for this opportunity, you must have California licensure, a Public Health Nurse certificate, and a minimum two years of experience as a public or community nurse.
